About the Program
The Art & Cultural Development Programs at Nuru Training Association are designed to:
Showcase the talent and creativity of Black Canadians and new immigrants.
Provide a platform for youth expression through art, dance, music, and cultural exchange.
Strengthen community bonds by celebrating diversity and cultural heritage.
With your support, we can produce high-quality cultural programs, educate the public, and ensure everyone has access to opportunities for creative expression and cultural pride.
Our Mandate
Create and host events that highlight and celebrate Black Canadians in the arts, education, and social spheres.
Support the quality of life of Canadians of African origin by collaborating with government agencies to deliver cultural and educational services.
Guarantee dignity, equity, and freedom for immigrants and refugees, fostering an enabling environment for all—regardless of country of origin, gender, race, religion, or orientation.
Promote art, dance, and cultural expression as tools for youth integration, creativity, and self-expression within Surrey and beyond.
